Thanks to G00gle, me ain’t figured anywhere in any of those rankings for the searchlight competition….But it was fun asking lotta ppl to link me and keeping track of the pageranks too…And it was nice of Allwin too to link me from the portal (PaGalGuY.com)….Thanks to that link, i’ve been getting “special offers” from the folks @ statcounter ;) …..Seriously though, i thought it was a good attempt by ISB folks to make sure they are one up in the online world atleast :P Got to know of a few interesting blogs too that were participating…. :)

Now ’tis time for me to sit back and go thro’ the movable type forums to find out what sacrilege my blog has committed in recent times so as not to deserve even a cursory visit by the g00gle bot ;) And yea, Also time for me to remove that phrase which i’ve gone so used to seeing and smirking ;)

yep, me goin nowhere on those g00gle listings…..For its own sweet reasons, the g00gle bots have taken a strange dislike to my blog the past few days…..So thou shalt be witnessing the removal of my best ever li(n)ked phrase that i’ve appended practically everywhere ;) ….

And talkin of g00gle, they had come on campus for some quirky profile….and dinged me halfway thro’ the process saying, yep- u guessed it, i’m poor at english ;) prolly time for me to get back to all those word lists and norman lewises ;) otoh, so far placements, i should say have been goin on quite @ a decent pace….

The forums now have over 10,000 registered users and it feels only yesterday that I joined this wonderful place that has given me more than i can ever give back….And yes, the warm feel still exudes :)

Yea, me in too :D nothin much to loose other than keyin in a few extra keystrokes i blv ;) The Best Indian Business School Blog , imho, must be somewhere hidden in the darkest recesses of this labyrinth called the internet, whilst lesser mortals like me keep participating in such events as The Best Indian Business School Blog competition being conducted by ISB….So like, every second Indian blog around the net, i shamelessly ask thy to link me using this piece of code.

ps: and yea folks, plz discount the words The Best Indian Business School Blog and don’t be under any sorta false notion of this blog being the same….This is just for the ISB competition ;) Reality anyways sucks :p

Here’s hoping people have a gr8 Diwali…As for me, still wondering if it has to be an indoor Diwali considering the downpour that we’ve been experiencing here in Chennai since morning ;)

ps: yea, me @ home for the festival. Thought ’tis prolly is time to appease the denizens above in my quest for a placement ;)

‘Tis placement peak time @ college currently…So far over 20 companies have either visited the campus or have put up notices of intent for the same….And people are running around attending one PPT after the other….And talking of PPTs, gotta say this….Some of the PPTs can have the uncanny ability to scare the S#$% outta those prospective recruiters….The whole audi is jam-packed with anyone and everyone who understands even a single word of the PPT notice coming in to check what the company is all about….Was very much in evidence a coupla days back when the folks from Sierra Atlantic(an Enterprise Appln Services company) put up a notice that they would be coming in for the post of a functional consultant….The PPT concentrated, expectedly, on the nature of work that SA is into and which , again expectedly, most ppl couldn’t get a clue of what it was (90%junta are oblivious to such terms as Enterprise Applications ;) )….But no, the enthu wasn’t really down…. People were determined to listen through and drop in their cv for the same…Irrespective of everything else, I keep wondering, is this a syndrome or is this a fad or is it, at the end of the day, a pragmatic necessity???

Recently, I’ve seen an overdose of msgs in all possible media asking for my valuable vote for an event which i thought was quite expendable with ;), It’s called Zee India’s Best and is supposedly a competition to decide the next set of faces whom we would have to endure on-screen… Me have been getting calls, IMs, requests on blogs, and (beat it), notices on college notice board for voting for a specific candidate, who also happens to be a student of the class of 2004 batch of my college here….Was really taken back to see a notice on campus yest exhorting ppl to vote for him; and i’m told, such notices have sprung up across all centers of our b-school !!! Strange are the times indeed ;)

Term V all set to start off today with registration…Seems only yesterday when i registered for this MBA and before i’ve hardly gotten to know close to 50% of the batch, we are already into the final term !! by technical requirements, there’s another term after this where one needs to submit a project…Placements have started off in full swing @ college and moi keeping fingers, toes, legs, hands, thoughts, all crossed ;) so far close to 50+ guys have been placed in such companies like JP Morgan Chase, D.E.Shaw, Irevna, Eicher and the likes…

Donno why, but these days hardly get the time to blog ( i know thats a lie, but then lemme master the art of self-deception!!)…The time i spent @ IIMA was quite good and have been ruminating on that for last few days….Small world this…. :)
