Been a while since I’ve blogged about my personal/professional life, or whatever of it that I can make sense of. Currently am in a job that allows me to do what I like best - Read a lot, Talk a lot and finally, Write a lot and top it all, they do pay me something
LOL…It ain’t like its so cliched, but basically its this
…. The best part of this is that I can continue to read more of my regular tech haunts
And as usual, a lot of news has been about google and apple. With Intel based Macs now out, it should be good fun to see how the PC shapes up…And for once, google’s not in news for a new product, but for yet another PR coup !! I find the whole debate on parting with search info pretty cut-off since out here, we still are in the hinterlands when it comes to legislative regulations on the web. Considering Google too, like all others, has rolled the red carpet for the red dragon’s internet task force and censor pages on Taiwan and stuff like Tiananmen, I chuckle at google’s lesser evil theory ! More *real* evil can be brought as a result of something that was confirmed just now
Anyways….Its been real fun watching the placement releases of various B-schools that keep dropping in @ PG….Seems every school is now in a race this year to have the first digit of the average pay packet as a 7, although I am yet to ascertain if the companies are really acquiescing to the same
While on the one hand it seems funny, it also speaks volumes of a lotta other stuff. It speaks of how much weightage schools believe the whole *average* figure has. And yea, before I forget, the trend also seems to suggest that most schools wanna project themselves as “consulting” friendly
My Alma mater (sic) is still wrapping up their placement process. I am waiting to see if they too will bite the bullet and give the magic six figure starting with a seven for the seven hundred odd people there.. THAT should be something ![]()

Not to mention all that drivel we read on the placement reports: “…and most of the companies had to go empty handed…” How much I love snipping that out.

well all of us know what goes behind the placement releases..so the less talked the better
… but then coz of the booming economy…loads of companies do try to participate in the placement process and waste their liquid assets
and yups therefore some lucky ones
return back empty handed
